Intake Manifold Fun 120-130

I had to switch out my cast manifold last week when I discovered that the #1 exhaust manifold was broken off, and that there was a big crack near the downpipe. I had a spare, which went on easy as cake, and the old manifold sat there on my work bence for most of the week. Knowing that installing one of those spiffy IPD exhaust manifolds requires you to cut up your old manifold, I decided to go ahead and salvage the intake portion of the manifold and chuck the rest.

30 minutes, 1 reciprocating saw blade, and a few hammer whacks later I held a pretty nice dual-carb intake manifold. I plan on eventually upgrading to the IPD manifold, but in looking this intake over, there's not a whole lot there to hold it to the side of the head.

Has anyone install an IPD exhaust manifold and if so, did they have any trouble getting the intake to properly seal to the Head??
