math problem 200 1983

You'll do much better to keep at least 1/4 tank. Reasons are:

(1) You won't tend to pull water and crud off the bottom
(2) You'll keep a liquid flow through both pumps for cooling
(3) You'll ditch that dangerous gas can
(4) You'll learn to average consumption over more than one filling which will
(5) Keep you from "topping off" or depending on level tank for measurement
(6) You'll not get stuck by the side of the road when it next vapor locks

Just write your mileage on your receipts. Let the pump click off once. Be patient - takes at least three fills to approach three significant figures in mpg.
