Getting to hate this engine B20B 140-160 1970

With the needles that Tom Bryant supplied in the rebuilt carbs Ole Reliable was sucking back badly at speed .... we then installed the pair of DX needles that I had gotten from Joe Curto a while back and the old girl came alive again .... you wouldn't believe the difference it makes to have the needles that match your engine setup. On the trip down to Bob's, with the old carbs and the DX needles, the first tank yielded 24.34 mp us gallon. The second tank gave me 25.96 mp us gallon. Unfortunately I screwed up the record keeping on the way home with the new carbs so have yet to get a read on the new carbs yet.
