Intake Manifold Fun 120-130

Well, the spare intake sort of developed on it's own, as a resutl of a busted cast manifold. But one reason I wanted to pursue a separate manifold is due to the "Heat, rust, and noise in VWs" article (and other sources) where the wrapping the exhaust with a fiberglass tape is supposed to keep the exhaust hot, allowing it to exit the combustion chambers with less required force leading to a slight increase in HP and fuel economy.

I'm not tryin got make it into a hot-rod, but I would like to maximize my fuel economy.

Incidently, I studied the pic of the IPD header and noticed that the flanges are suppose to mate perfectly with the intake manifold, so I answered my own question there.

Anyway, I already have some fiberglass tape and was considering install it on my manifold. But Due to heat transfer, I'd like to find a separte-unit exhaust manifold.
