abs sensor removal 900

After failing to find an abs sensor (front end) on ebay, I expect a new one to arrive (today??) for my 1991 940 turbo wagon. I needlessly and carelessly tried to remove it (one side only) when working on my suspension. With the imminent arrival of the new part, I'm concerned about removing the damaged remnants. If it had come out, I wouldn't need a new one, but it didn't and so I do. Well, you could say it came off, but not in one piece; as the magnet remains imbedded in place. I thought I'd wait til the new part arrived to get a better idea of what's still needing to be removed, but have learned it's better to seek help sooner than later. I've laid out the problem, can anybody please help?
