Rear firewall elecrical connector 200 1984

Hello,
I hate asking questions that come from my mistakes, but I cant figure out where this blue and red wire goes. I had a great deal of wire rot at the big white connector at the firewall. I decided to pull my engine wiring harness and repair it. Having spent a great deal of time under my hood, I felt confident that I knew where all of the wires lead. I have reinstalled the harness and everything has gone great, but I can't figure out where this last wire goes. It comes from the firewall to the white connector, but I dont know where it goes, or what it goes to, from there. I had a couple of wires that had absolutely no insulation left on them, just electrical tape, so I am betting that my mystery wire was one of them. I have tried to find it in the wireing diagrams for my year in the Bentley manual, but I cant seem to find it, especially since the big white conmnector doesn't seem to be represented in the diagram.
To be sure I am clear, the blue/red striped wire comes from inside the car to the white connector. The part that connects from the white connector to something in my engine compartment is what I am missing.
Thanks for reading my post and for advice or help given, Kenneth
