Trunk Won't Open -- HELP 140-160 1969

Hi,
Well if it turns very smoothly, it may still be locked:o)
In my experience, the lids don't "pop" open this late in the game, the struts are worn and you'll have to turn the handle with one hand while you lift the lid with the other.
When I got my 142, the trunk latch could be pushed in and out slightly. If that's the case, you may have to pull out then turn left past it's normal resting point, re-seat, then try again. Kind of like re-winding it.
This can be fixed by tightening the nut on the back side (once you get in there).
Best,
Shayne.
