Open Gasket... 120-130 1967

Hello All:

1967 Volvo 122S Wagon. I have never opened my (twin SU HS6) float bowls before but I am about to try. I have heard that there is a gasket, paper I believe, between the top and the floatchamber. Is that so? If it gets unhappy for some reason, what kind of paper should I use to replace it?

Also, the three gaskets for the air filters (one for the rear, two for the front sandwiching the protective plate) are looking pretty nasty. Our friends at IPD suggest I cut one myself as the actual gaskets are near impossible to come by. Easier done than said, I just do not know where to get gasket material of the proper spec. Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Jeff Pucillo
