1989 245 with M46 overdrive problem ...questions... 200 1989

1980 245 with M46 tranny....
I am unable to get OD to engage..

It seems like it is not getting any power. no click from relay no nothing....

I have checked the Fuse and it looks fine....
Also noticed at same time that my Shift Indicator Light is not working...

Questions...

1. Will a Faulty OD indicator light cause a short in the OD....
2. Is there anything in common between the OD and the Shift Indicator light.
3. Could it be something with the Neutral switch...(when you gear down or place shifter in neutral the OD dis-engages)Could this be faulty...
How would I check this.
