96 960 cracked head leak 900 1996

More information.

The second mechanic has pulled the fuel rail. If I can figure out how to do it, I'll upload a couple of pictures. One shows the valve cover. The red outline shows a portion of the crack that this thing got in it somehow. The blue outline shows where the leak actually is.

The other picture shows a portion of the 'seam' between the two halves of the head. To my mechanic it looks like there is a piece of this gasket missing. We won't be able to tell if oil is leaking there as well until we get the upper leak re-sealed and let it run for a while.
