Transmission Problems 200 1991

Hello all...I am new here and I'm lookin for a little help. I serviced my transmission on my '91 240 wagon. All was well for about 100 miles, then I noticed droplets of oil on my rear window. Then near disaster struck. I drove the poor thing about 200 miles at about 50 mph with the engine screaming. She will run fine after cooling down overnight but once everything warms up she won't upshift out of second gear. I also noticed a small leak where the dipstic tube connects to the pan. The fluid I put back in was part synthetic dextron III. The Haynes manual called for a Dextron II but I haven't been able to find any..Could this be the problem? Thanks in advance for your help everyone! I gotta get the old girl back up and running so I can get back to my newborn baby girl! Charlie
