oil temp sender 200 1986

i recently got a whole gauge set out of a car in the boneyard. fuel economy, volts, and oil temp. i of course grabbed all the wiring and senders while i was at it and installed them...i realized i was leaking oil the other day and took a look to find that my oil temp sensor (which is a drainplug with a sensor in it) had a crack in the center where the wire connector comes out and oil was dripping through this crack.. is this something that i could take out, clean and possible solder back together? or do i need to find a new one? i've called the local import place and done searches through ipd, overnightautoparts.com and ebay to find nothing. does anyone know where to get one of these sensors if that is what i need? Thanks in advance
