850 94 Won't turn over, code 324, camshaft pos. sensor has oil on it, what's up? 1994

hi,

Our "new", I've only had a few weeks, 94 850 Wagon, 2.3L turbo, won't turn over.

This is what it's doing: Cranking, but not starting.

Thanks to this board, I have had enough information to check everything.

We've changed, plugs, wires, distributor cap, battery, ignition coil (coil wire had corrosion on one end).

Fuel is getting there, just not sparking. Rotor appears to be in great shape.

Read codes and got a 3-2-4 on A6, Camshaft position sensor absent intermittently.

Had other codes, but were not on ignition or engine info. Cleared codes, and car still won't start, the codes have not reappeared.

However, when looking at the camshaft position sensor, the case has oily gunk on it. Is changing it going to fix the problem? I'm going through spare cash here real fast. I'd like to get the next part right this time.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Jill
