i think the mechanic is trying to rip me off 700 1991

I have a 1991 Volvo 740 wagon with 231000 miles on it. She is still going as strong as ever. But, she is also old and needs some TLC as well. Therefore she was telling me in Volvonese, that she needs the right front strut, cone bushings and also a fuel filter.

I went to a mechanic, who insisted on replacing the whole assemly(springs, shocks and struts,BOTH OF THEM TOO) by the reason that the labor cost is cheaper.

How much is the labor hours to install one strut, fuel filter and the right cone bushings?

Your views are greatly appreciated.
