I've used those kits and they only work so well. I've never overcharged my system with one. In fact I don't think I've ever charged a damn thing with one of those. Period.

I found a guy down the street from my house who onws a little shop and charges about $30 per pound of stuff. Don't let them sell you on a bunch repairs. just tell them that you want to buy a charge, and you'll think about repairs if the system leaks everything out real fast.
