86 engine into 89 700

You'll have to use the drive plate (called a flex plate also) from the 1989 car and index it correctly. The Coolant Temperature Sensor (under intake port three) will need to be changed, and so will the Temperature Gauge Sensor (under intake port 2). You'll need to use the other fuel injection components and engine wiring harness from the 1989 car.

The distributor does not have to be changed.
