Track rods and tie-rod ends 200

Another question in my front-end story!

Track-rod nut was stuck solid yesterday and I only managed to get it off by heating it up with a propane torch. The new tie-rod end was on the track-rod when I did this. The tie-rod end was also on when I tried to force the nut rouund the track-rod.
Now the tie-rod end joint is really light to move around unlike the other new one and both the old ones which required a bit of force to move. There no play in any direction as far as I can tell.
Has the tie-rod end been damaged by the heat or the force on the track-rod? How can I tell for sure? When I say light to move it is *really* light.

Another question that puzzled me was the design of the track-rods. Are these non-replaceable?

Thanks in advance
