differential leak 200 1984

Hello,
I have an 84gl with an aw70. I recently replaced the oil in my read differential. It was black and had some metal shavings in it. Antway, when I refilled it and replaced the fill plug, the one unsed to check the fluid level, I put the plug on pretty tight. I am getting a little bit of oil running down the diff. under the plug location. I cleaned of the oil and tightened up the plug even more. It is really tight now, but I am still getting a little oil runnung down from the hole. Has anyone had this problem or does antone know what to do to stop it. I have looked closely and havent seen any cracks or anything, so I am stumped. Thanks for your help, Kenneth
