240 power surging?? 200 1986

Every now and then my 240 wagon looses power for a second or so and then picks back up. The engine runs smooth through the event, just guttless. It is like you got a brief strong head wind gust. It will start and idle fine but sometimes as you are trying to gun it through an intersection at the worst time it just wilts. I've changed the Mass meter and thought that had it fixed but it has started doing it again. There are no false air leaks. I suspect fuel deliver problems. Any sugestions??? Thanks. James.
