PV interior question 444-544

I'm getting closer with the Duett. All the interior panels, oak strips, and floor mats are in. Moving on to the dash board area. I have the round soft 'bumper stuff' that goes around the front doors but I don't know how it is attached. Looks like it goes under the kick panel and window trim near the front but there is nothing to cover the tape around the back half of the door opening. Can anyone help re how to attach this trim? I believe it should run in one long piece around the entire door opening. Note that I am talking about the interior trim, not the door rubber.

Many thanks.
