1990 740 - Still won't start...

In the abscence of any objections I'm going to go with the fuel pressure regulator. I'm thinking there's initally enough fuel pressure after it sits a while and bleeds through the FPR. Once I crank it I get fire for a second the the injectors run out of juice. It only fires once. Then it needs to sit for a while to get another shot. There is no fuel leaking out of the vacuum line on the FPR but I'm guessing it's the culprit.
