Is that OK to drive with one new shock absorber 900 1994

I replaced the driver side shock absorber last weekend and planned to do the other side this weekend. But with the weather forcast predicting heavy rain, I probably will not be able to do it. Is it OK to drive with only one new shock absorber for maybe two weeks? The one I replaced was about 80% shot. Will this be dangerous, or will it cause quick and uneven tire wear? Thanks
