Headlight replacement question -- fireworks avoidance 101 120-130

The low beam on one headlight went out yesterday. Of the three spares on hand two had no continuity through either hi or low and one was good only thru the hi beam. Since rain was predicted I stopped by the local Autozone in search of a headlight. Of course they didn't have a Sylvania 6014 unit. They did have a pair of H6024 halogen sealed beam units so I picked them up at about $15 each.

Everything seemed to be working fine over 150 miles of driving with the new headlight turned on. I am concerned that the halogens might have a higher current draw than acceptable for the OEM wiring. Do I need to install a relay set up with the sealed beam halogens?

Thanks as always,

Joe M
