how much boost can i run? 700

I wouldn't run past 12-14psi unless I KNEW what the fuel mixture was. Yes, you can run a 3.0 fpr or a RRFPR and let the amm feed the puppy.

The real issue with your 87 is the vacuum/pressure line from the compressor to the wastegate actuator. It will age and crack/fail and then you will get 20++ psi from the Garrett turbo. #1 rod will go right through the block (ask me how I know this).

I wouldn't put more than 12-14psi through an 87 block.
