240 Idling rough 200 1991

Happy Columbus day ALL,

I just purchased a 1991 240 that has a few issues. It starts fine but only with the Mass Air meter disconnected. I can start the vehicle, then reconnect the Mass Air meter and it begins to idle really rough, followed by shutting completely off. The Mass Air Meter, trottle position sensor, and ECU were replaced last week. Also the car runs sort of OK on the open road, again with the Mass Ar meter disconnected. I have absolutely no power, cannot get enough speed or power to get out of first gear when I reconnect the Air Masss Meter.

Lastly, At speeds up of 45 to 55, the engine seems to be running at a high RPM as though it is not shifting into 4th gear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure that many of you have had similar problems.
