240 hesitates when accelerating 200 1993

Hi: I've got a '93 245 with 155K. The car runs well, but when accelerating there is a noticable lag before the power kicks in. Seems most noticable when making lefts and need to hit the gas a bit to finish the turn. Just had new belts done, including timing belt, new water pump and mew radiator. Could this be a plugged up fuel filter ? Is this a symptom of the 02 sensor going bad. Car does not seem to need a tune-up except for this symptom. Thanks !
