The short version of what to me is a long story is that our computer system crashed and I'm now setting up a new system and am still trying to recover data.
Some of you may have been trying to contact me or wondering why I have not responded to your email or shipped your parts. Anyone who has emailed me in the last year, and not before that, or has changed address or email address, should realize that I may not have that info or a way to get in touch with you.
Our computer system started acting up in early Sept., but at first it seemed to be a minor problem. Unfortunately it wasn't, and apparently started at the location of the email system software on the hard drive (still not sure whether it started as a hardware or software problem). This resulted in losing email data before we knew what was happening. Finally there was a complete crash and problems with the backup data which was apparently being corrupted by the same problem as the data was being backed up. Addresses used for some types of shipping and most contact with customers was kept as part of the email address book programs and is currently not accessable, at least for entries made in the last year. Hopefully this will still be recovered.
I have also lost the info on our group email lists, such as those who own 240s, 740ss, those interested in T5 tranmission swaps, those urging the development of a supercharger for B21 & B23 engines, those living in New England, living in southern Cal., etc. If you want to be included in any of our reconstituted groups in order to be included in updates on particular products, demonstration trips to various areas, etc., please email me directly with your current email address, location, car models, and any particular product interests.
