Mystery 940 Turbo Stalling Problem

Around July 2005 my 93 940 Turbo (208 K miles) began to stall during a cold start. After stalling 2 to 4 times, it would then run and start during the rest of the day. My expert mechanic has not diagnosed the problem yet.
Specifics:
Engine dies if left to idle.
Stalls when brake depressed to put into gear
Stalls when turning corner after first start

Solutions tried:
New platinum plugs (no difference)
Ran bottle of Techron thru half tank of gas (no difference)
New mass airflow sensor (no difference)
New air filter (no difference)
Cleaned throttle body system (no difference)
Checked for vacuum leaks (no problems)
Notes
Using premium fuel (Shell)
New volvo exhaust system about 6 months ago
Has run very well for years

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks, Steve
