My '91 has a bad piston slap, so I'm thinking about putting a V8 in the car instead of a B230F. Can someone tell me what would be a good V8 engine to put into the car that would be compatible with the current transmission? Also would a V8 in a 244 pass R.I. emissions? It's not like they do anything complex for emissions, they just put the car on rollers.
