Automatic Transmission Fluid change, which fluid? '93 945T 900

’93 945T.

My transmission seems to be a little sluggish and I'm pretty sure the previous owner never had it flushed. It has ~ 150,000 miles. I want to change my automatic transmission fluid this weekend. What brand / type of automatic transmission fluid should I use?

I’ve read the FAQ on this procedure as well as IPD’s instructions:

http://www.ipdusa.com/pdf/PI-241attrannyflush.pdf

I didn’t see in the FAQ where it talks about what fluid to use. The IPD instructions say to use "Dextron II D or E". I stopped by Autozone and their selection wasn’t too good, the only selection I saw that matched Dextron II D or E was a generic brand, "Coastal", something like $1.70 or so per quart.

Is Coastal good enough, or are there any tips on finding something better? Or should I use the cheap stuff, run it for 500 or 1,000 miles to clear out any gunk, then do another flush with something better?

Thanks!
