Dome light and CL problem 200 1987

Hi Erling,

I guess you are still leaving the switch in the center position and doing without the automatic courtesy light?

Had a look at the wiring diagrams for an '85: The switch in the driver's door has both contacts in use - each gets switched to ground when the button pops out. But only one has control of the dome light - it has a black or a blue/black wire. The other wire should be white/black, for the reminder buzzer.

The drawing shows the front and rear doors being connected by a black wire running along the rocker panel. The dome light wiring comes down the A-pillar on the driver's side. The two sides are connected between the two front door switches by a blue/black wire that looks to be run just under the dash.

Thought it might help just to know which colors you might look for and where they run. Did the light ever go out when you had the four switches unscrewed?
