Dome light and CL problem 200 1987

Hi Erling,

I agree with you, just connecting the central locking to power and ground has nothing whatever to do with courtesy light wiring. If I remember, the glove box green wire comes from a connector behind the front console, right near that rail where the central locking relays are normally clipped. Could that black/blue wire that traverses the dash for the dome lights have gotten in the way reassembling the front console, or pinched under a relay clip to the rail?

You mentioned doing something different with the ground. Not anything to do with a blue/black wire, right?
