Dome light and CL problem 200 1987

Questions:
- If this wire is broken inside the insulation, will this cause the lamp to always stay on?

No, unfortuately. The system being a ground-switched, a broken wire would have
the effect of one or more door switches not making the light to come on.

The wire pinched under that channel piece sure sounded like you found it. That wire, looking at the pictorial, goes to the RR door switch and the RF door switch, and connects then to the wire going up to the light.

Any chance that it's pinched a second place? Look on the left side, too. Similar wiring in that channel piece.

Good Luck,

Bob
