Blowing fuse #1 200 1984

Howdy...
I just picked up a '84 240 wagon with plans to take it road-tripping for about a week and a half/~3000 miles. I'm losing fuse #1 at the top of the fuse box. From what I can tell, the only things my car has that are on that fuse are the lighter, and the stereo. It takes a few seconds for the fuse to blow, and before it blows the radio works fine... so I'm assuming it's not on that circuit.

Is there some sort of relay or something for the lighter? It calls for a 8A fuse, and I'd assume the lighter draws a good bit more than that (but the fuse blows with the lighter pulled out).

Any quick insights on what to look for? Gotta have a radio for the trip you know...

THanks,
