Erratic Speedo 700 1990

No drive cable as your car uses an electronic speedometer.

Two common failures - the wiring harness between the axle and body, and poor solder connections within the speedo assembly (I've had them both). In fact, all the Yazaki gauges are prone to disintegrating connections after a dozen years. Jumper wires soldered to the flex wiring also cause intermittant (name your gauge here). If the ABS light does NOT go on while the speedo is inoperative, then you can be certain that the rear wiring is good.
