Stuck Open Sunroof 700 1989

The sunroof on my beloved 760 GLE is stuck in the open position. I understand the problem is probably dirty contacts in the dash mounted switch. How do I remove the switch and clean the contacts. Or am I completely off base and the problem is elsewhere.
