Stuck Open Sunroof 700 1989

Steven,

When you say "stuck" do you mean that it moves a little then stops? Or doesn't move at all? If it doesn't move at all is there a click heard when you push the button?

If if moves a little, I would suspect misalignment of the tracks.

If it doesn't move at all but there is a click I would suspect the motor (located under the cover between the sun-visors. Might have to cut through headliner material to get at it). See the FAQ for detailed instructions on R&R.

If id doesn't move at all and there is no click, I would check the switch and/or the fuse. To get the switch out you need to remove the trim that goes around the ignition all the way over to the climate control unit.

Good luck,
Ian
