1996 Cluster removal and bulb replacement 900 1996

I went to the FAQ on cluster removal, and it said that it is EXTREMELY difficult to remove the wood trim/light switch surrounds without breaking them on the late model 960's and that perhaps a dealer is the best solution.

Is this the best and latest advice, or is the procedure for the wood-trimmed dash cars listed somewhere else?

Also, it mentioned that the grain-of-wheat bulbs are available for $1 each and can be soldered into the bulb holders.

Where does one find the "naked" bulbs cheaply (as opposed to $12/ea bulbs from the dealer)?

I apologize if this has been specifically answered before for my car.

Thanks,
BobbyC
