I have to ask about this one.

Grimshaw advised getting rid of it IIRC. I don't have the valve on the 81 wagon, and it starts ok in the winter - that's all battery and good fuel initially. I just got an 81 GL w/B23E - it has no hose at all - we'll see how it starts. It's been fine up to now.

I've got the airbox taped up tight with electrical tape so the flow is only through the air filter anyway. You might want to service yours that way unless you can get one at a junkyard.
