Loose steering after tie rod end replacement. (Alignment?)

About a month ago I had my drivers side tie rod end replaced. The shop said it did not need an alignment but since then the car seems to be steering loosely and the steering wheel is off center towards the drivers side of the car. I believe after repalacing the tie rod end the car needs an alignment but maybe I'm wrong.
