Opinions wanted > Sell 2 745s and buy V90??? S90-V90 1998

Hey guys,

Again, I'm am faced with this question. I have found a seemingly lovely '98 V90 for sale locally (very rare around here) for a desent price. It's dark blue with beige interior (one of my fav color combos). It has about 194K km (~122K mi) showing on the odo. I love my 745s, but I've always wanted a nice comfortable late 960 or S90/V90. I am faced with a decision. If I buy the V90 it looks like I have to sell both my 745s. I'd like to store the V90 in the winter (I've stored my 745T the last 2 winters), but I must come out relatively even (money wise) and it appears the 2 745s are worth about the same as the 1 V90. My 745T has about 300K km on it and I've done a LOT of work to it over the 4 years I've had it. I've replaced the heater core (replacing a defective one now), had the engine rebuilt (40K ago), replaced the whole cooling system, added leather seats out of a '90 745T, IPD sways, chassis braces, shocks, taillights, trunk tray, mudguards, 760 headlight conversion, synthetic fluids, etc, etc. My 745NA has 407K km, works fantastic and still looks great. I've done regular maintenance to it, as well as a few little upgrades here and there and a few repairs, like a rebuilt sending unit. Neither of them have any rust to speak of, but the paint is getting worn on the 745T (still looks great from 10 feet away). I'll be done university in the spring and I'm thinking that maybe I should get something more comfortable (the 745 rides a bit harsh) and newer, so that when I get a job I won't have to spend so much time working on my Volvos (although I do enjoy it when I have the time) and I'll be a bit more comfortable when I'm tense. My driving is 60-70% hwy, and it looks as though I might get a bit better fuel econ with the V90, that would be kinda nice (I do drive kinda hard though). I would expect regular maintenance with the V90. I'd change the fluids to synthetic after purchase, and perform any other maintenance that's needed. I'd expect to replace the rad, hoses and heater valve in 1-3 years and a few other things here and there (like a swaybar link, brakes or O2 sensor). I've come across this question before, but never with a V90. I considered a couple late 940s and one '95 964 that my Vo mechanic had. Do you guys think this would be a wise decision or should I stick with the 2 745s? (part of my problem is that I get attached to stuff, lol) Thanks in advance for your thoughts! I'll post this on the 700 forum as well.
