There is a way to test everyone's theories without trying to top insults and cause some real hard feelings among the troops. Take a stop watch and see how long it takes to fire and run at -40 degrees with and without the hose hooked up. I would be willing bet that the actual firing isn't changed but the warm up and smooth idle time is.
