Highest pressure tires available? 140-160 1974

I know what you mean, but Kane is right. Those special tires are very thin and usually are not pumped up with air, and very expensive. Find yourself a 175/15 with really good tread pattern for the wet, fill them up to the max noted on the sidewall, and drive. Just be careful! Sudden shifts of direction will let you skid/spin and you may dent that yellow paint.
I do NOT recomend using the sidewall max pressure on older tires because of the stress on the sidewall. If the tires are more than 5 years old, buy new ones.
