Genuine Volvo water pump 444-544

Hi,
I just paid a premium price for Volvo B18/B20 water pump giving Volvo part number 271602 and asking for a genuine Volvo water pump not a Japanese pump over the phone.

What I got in the mail was a Volvo box with a water pump that looks exactly like a GMB water pump inside. The pump has a stencil that reads Volvo 416327 Made in The UK on it.
It also has the number 171603 cast into it and another number on the top flat part that is unreadible..4B02Q or something.

I purchased the pump from a Volvo parts distributor not a Volvo dealer.

Does anyone have any info that would confirm or disprove the notion that I have that I just paid way way to much for a remanufactured water pump?
