Water On The Floor... 700 1986

I recently pulled the carpets up in my '86 760 to check the condition of the floors before winter really sets in.

I found some small holes/weak spots (including a big hole right underneath the computer - so I'm glad I found that one!) so I repaired them with fiberglass and figured everything was cool.

Recently though, - we've been getting a lot of rain, so I've been checking the carpets to ensure they weren't getting wet - I discovered that the carpet on the driver's seat floor is getting VERY wet.

Now, I'll obviously pull the carpet up and re-inspect the floor to be sure I didn't miss anything and to be sure that what I fixed is sealed up properly.

What I want to know from you guys is whether there's any common problems that would be causing the water to collect there like that... holes in the firewall, etc... I remember that the 240s had a habit of wrecking a drainage seal the caused water to drain right into the car on the floor of the driver's seat...

Any help would be appreciated.
