I agree with that, Art. I don't want to risk anything with this (so-far) trouble-free car. And opening the Primary side would definitely kill the tach pulses, which originate from the coil (red-white wire color), thus proving nothing about tach action (or lack of) on a fuel-related no start

I'm pretty sure that no Fuel relay is the same as a dead Fuel relay, where Regina and Rex are concerned. That is, the relay has no N/C contacts that might "feed' somewhere. And the only Regina ECU input to REX is a load signal which I don't think relates during cranking.
