Function of Radio Suppression relay? 700

Hi Bruce,

I'm thinking someone might swear at me if I asked them to disconnect the coil wire and they had to buy a new coil. With the distributor and spark plugs in place the terminal voltage is quite limited compared with what that coil can develop unloaded. I think the Rex coil is reputed to suffer from secondary winding insulation breakdown, and unloading it would be just the way to encourage that. It would be much safer to ground the coil high tension wire.
