starts smooth for 5 seconds, then dies (fuel related) 200 1982

My 82 244 turbo which i just purchased still does not start. I am not really framiliar with 240 turbos so i still neeed some help
the car starts and runs smooth for like 5 seconds then shuts off.
I was able to get the car to idle by using accetalyne and sticking it into the intake manifold, it idled very rough, so i cheched around for any vacuum leaks and i couldn't find any.
also i took out an injector, and when the car shuts off, the injector stops spraying, so i cant see how it could be fuel pressure.
also what is the little relay located near the spark box and coil on the left fender??? is it a type of fuel supression relay?
