I (think) I found my problem 700 1986

I recently found that it's also a good idea to check the IAC operation after cleaning. I removed mine due to a loping idle. The valve was loose but would only move half way when voltage was applied. It's a pretty torguey little motor and should give a pretty good kick when either outer pin is grounded. I took the IAC apart and the commutator end was very oily due to my previous problem with a bad turbo bypass valve. Cleaning all the oil out restored the IAC operation and my idle is alot better.
