244 brake light woes

Be sure that the lower outer bulb holders are white on the right, black on the left (driver's side).

Second - With head lights or parking lights on, you have the bright filament lit, right? (Just want to be sure that what you mean and what I think you mean match.)

What lights come on when you step on the brake pedal? Is the high-level light operating OK?

Third - Are you sure that the Scan-Tech light is for the 1986+ and not for the older models? The light base itself is different, especially on the passenger side. The circuit boards are different, too. Can you compare the new circuit boards with the old ones?

Fourth - The key slots for bulb holder on the PS lower outer are different on the 1986+ lights. If possible, look at the old light and compare the orientation.

Good Luck,

Bob
